Itinerary
5-Day Itinerary: Amboseli, Tsavo East, and Tsavo West
Day 1: Arrival in Amboseli National Park
Morning
- Depart from Nairobi early in the morning. The drive to Amboseli takes about 4-5 hours
Midday
- Arrive at Amboseli National Park and check into your accommodation (lodges or tented camps).
Afternoon
- Have lunch, then embark on an afternoon game drive. Look for elephants, giraffes, lions, and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Evening
- Return to the lodge for dinner and enjoy an evening at leisure, perhaps with a night drive or wildlife slideshow (if available).
Day 2: Explore Amboseli National Park
Morning
- Enjoy an early morning game drive. This is the best time to see animals as they are most active in the cooler hours.
Midday
- Return to the lodge for breakfast, followed by some relaxation time.
Afternoon
- Visit a local Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions.
- Alternatively, consider a guided walking safari in the park.
Evening
- Head out for another evening game drive, followed by dinner at your accommodation.
Day 3: Transfer to Tsavo East National Park
Morning
- After breakfast, check out and drive to Tsavo East National Park (approximately 1.5-2 hours).
Midday
- Arrive at Tsavo East and check into your lodge or camp. Enjoy lunch.
Afternoon
- Embark on an afternoon game drive. Tsavo East is known for its large herds of elephants and spectacular landscapes.
Evening
- Return to your accommodation for dinner and relax under the stars.
Day 4: Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park
Morning
- After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Tsavo East before checking out.
Midday
- Depart to Tsavo West National Park (approximately a 2-3 hour drive) and stop for lunch along the way.
Afternoon
- Visit the Mzima Springs, where you can see hippos and crocodiles and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Evening
- Check into your lodge or camp and go on an evening game drive in Tsavo West. Look for the unique wildlife like the endangered black rhino.
Day 5: Explore Tsavo West & Departure
Morning
- Enjoy an early morning game drive and immerse yourself in the beauty of the park.

- Return to your accommodation for breakfast and check out.
Afternoon
- Drive back towards Nairobi (or your next destination). You can opt for lunch en route or stop at a scenic spot for a picnic.
Evening
- Arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon.
