Itinerary
5 DAYS KENYA SAFARI
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Morning
- Depart from Nairobi early in the morning either by road (approximately 5-6 hours) or take a short flight to Maasai Mara (about 1-1.5 hours).
Afternoon
- Arrive at your lodge/camp in the Maasai Mara, check in, and enjoy lunch.
- After lunch, embark on your first game drive in the Maasai Mara to get acquainted with the wildlife.
Evening
- Return to the lodge/camp for dinner.
- Enjoy an evening at leisure, possibly listening to local Maasai stories or enjoying a cultural performance.
Day 2: Full Day in Maasai Mara
Morning
- Have an early breakfast at your lodge.
- Depart for a full-day game drive. You may choose to pack a lunch for convenience or return to the lodge for meals.
Midday
- Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic spot in the reserve.
Afternoon
- Continue exploring the vast expanse of the Maasai Mara, focusing on the wildlife and landscapes. If it’s the migration season (July to October), aim to witness the river crossings.
Evening
- Return to the lodge for dinner.
- Socialize with fellow guests or participate in evening activities arranged by your lodge.
Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Morning
- Early breakfast at the lodge and check out
- Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park (approximately 5-6 hours drive).
- Check in at your accommodation and enjoy lunch.
Late Afternoon
- Go for an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Look out for the iconic flamingos, rhinos, and various bird species as well as other game.
Evening
- Return to your lodge for dinner.
- Take in the beautiful views of Lake Nakuru as you relax in the evening.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
Morning
- Early breakfast at the lodge.
- If time allows, enjoy one last morning game drive or take a walk to the lookout point for stunning views of the lake and its surrounding landscapes.
Midday
- Check out from your accommodation and drive to Lake Naivasha (approximately 1.5-2 hours).
Afternoon
- Arrive at Lake Naivasha and check in to your lodge.
- Have lunch and then enjoy a boat ride on the lake, where you can see hippos, birds, and the beautiful scenery of the lake.
Evening
- Return to the lodge for dinner.
- Optional: Enjoy a guided evening walk around the lodge or engage with the local community.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Nairobi
Morning
- Early breakfast at the lodge.
- Visit Hell’s Gate National Park (optional) for a guided cycling or walking safari, known for its stunning geological features and free-roaming wildlife.
Midday
- Return to your lodge for lunch and check out.
Afternoon
- Travel back to Nairobi (approximately 1.5 hours’ drive).
- Depending on your schedule, you may have time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Nairobi.
Evening
- Arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon. End of the safari program.
