Itinerary
3 Days Tsavo East and Tsavo West Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Mombasa to Tsavo East
Morning
- 08:00 AM: Depart from your hotel in Mombasa
- 10:00 AM: Arrive at Tsavo East National Park.
- Entry and Briefing: Stop at the park entrance for checks and a brief orientation.
Midday
- Game Drive: Start your first game drive in Tsavo East, where you might spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and various antelope species.
- Lunch: Picnic lunch in the park.
Afternoon
- Continue with a game drive, focusing on areas with high wildlife concentrations, such as the Aruba Dam.
Evening
- 03:30 PM: Depart Tsavo East and head to your lodge/camp.
- Accommodation: Check into a lodge or tented camp in Tsavo East.
- Dinner: Enjoy dinner at the lodge and relax.
Day 2: Tsavo East to Tsavo West
Morning
- 06:30 AM: Early morning game drive in Tsavo East to catch the early risers.
- 08:30 AM: Return to lodge for breakfast.
Midday
- Check-out: After breakfast, check out of your lodge.
- Transfer: Depart for Tsavo West National Park (approximately 1.5 hours drive).
- 10:30 AM: Arrive at Tsavo West – stop at Mzima Springs to see hippos, crocodiles, and the clear spring waters.
Lunch
- 12:30 PM: Lunch at a lodge in Tsavo West (e.g., Kilaguni Serena Lodge).
Afternoon
- Game Drive: Explore the park in the afternoon. You might see the impressive Shetani Lava Flow and catch sight of a variety of wildlife, including elephants and rhinos.
Evening
- Check-in: Arrive at your safari lodge/camp in Tsavo West (Kilaguni Serena Lodge or similar).
- Dinner: Enjoy dinner and possibly the evening view of Mount Kilimanjaro if the weather permits.
Day 3: Tsavo West to Mombasa
Morning
- 06:30 AM: Early morning game drive in Tsavo West.
- 09:00 AM: Return to the lodge for breakfast.
Midday
- Check-out and Activities: Depending on your departure time, you can visit the Rhinos Sanctuary for a chance to see black rhinos up close.
- 11:30 AM: Depart Tsavo West and head back to Mombasa.
Lunch
